Mechanical gear of the car is pretty much the same in comparison with the Civic sedan. Meanwhile, the Coupe boasts a sloped roofline and new size proportions. It will definitely be a sexy offering in the Civic range. The Coupe’s wheelbase is 2.9 inches longer than the one under the sedan. Its body is 1.9 inches wider. It sits strictly one inch lower than the 4-door vehicle and has shorter overhangs.

A new rear tail light spreads across the whole deck lid. Stepping inside the sexy offering, you will find that its space has grown by 8.4 cubic feet in comparison with its predecessor. Rear seat legroom has also grown by 5 inches.

The dashboard boasts a new 7-inch display audio set-up. The cabin looks pretty in soft-touch materials having contrast stitching. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay technologies are provided for the car. Besides, it benefits from the full Honda Sensing suite of safety tech.

The next year’s Honda Civic Coupe will be marketed with two engines, like the sedan. The first option includes a 2.0-litre V4 motor generating 158 hp and torque of 138 lb-ft. The second one offers a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4 pot producing 174 hp and torque of 162 lb-ft. The first one will return 31 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. Totally, it makes 35 mpg. The second engine is able to return 31 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. In combination, it also makes 35 mpg.

The automaker still has not shown several Civic offerings. The Si, Type R and hatchback offerings are among them. These ones should be expected in a year or so.
