Hyundai considers Premium Three-Row SUV

Hyundai wants to add a new big luxury SUV to its range after the critical success of the Genesis. Though, there are some hesitations about it.

Automotive News suggests that the Korean producer wants to create a SUV on the platform of the Genesis.
The SUV could come out in 2 or 3 years. Its main objective would be appealing the thigh-class Genesis to a SUV and raising the automaker’s overall brand image.

The hard decision has not been taken yet because the company had already had a premium SUV. It was called the Veracruz. The SUVs were not popular among the customers in the U.S from 2007 till 2012. The vehicle has been sold only in Korea since that time. Its production will be stopped at the end of July.

The fact of the Veracruz’s discontinuation does not mean that the company is giving up on a large SUV range.
Reuters assures that the automaker wants to create premium, big SUVs which will be based on the needs of their buyers. The producer is planning to respond to the market centred on SUVs which is changing so fast. The respond will lie in beefing up the automaker’s SUV range.

Now the manufacturer came up with two crossovers: the Santa Fe and the small Tucson. The Santa Fe is offered as a 5 or 7 passenger car.
