Production Variant Rendering of Mercedes-Benz Concept GLC Coupe

Hungarian X-Tomy Design speculatively envisioned the Concept GLC Coupe from Mercedes-Benz as an offering ready for manufacturing.

Considering that the concept is being showed off at Auto Shanghai, it is easy to imagine the outlook of the GLC Coupe’s production form. The concept offers an accurate picture of the road-going variant’s appearance. The offering will be launched for sale in 2016 after the release of the second-gen GLK. The last one is scheduled to come out with the GLC name in the months to come.

The offering will be the automaker’s second “crossover coupe”. The first one is the more massive GLE Coupe. It was revealed as a rival to the BMW X6 not long ago. Primarily this model was created as an X4 fighter. It will be equipped with the identical hardware as the C-Class. Actually, the whole GLC range is based on this hardware. The displayed in Shanghai concept is equipped with a 3.0-litre bi-turbo six-cylinder engine generating 367 hp. This one will be offered in the appealing AMG Sport variant.

The producer has also designed the GLC range for right-hand drive markets. Moreover, they are developing a Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 / GLC 63 Coupe variant. It has not been present on the massive GLK yet. The offering will receive power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine. It delivers 476 hp (or 350 kW) in the C63. As to C63 S, it generates 510 hp (or 375 kW).
