A large-scale recall campaign begins for Ram
Concern Stellantis announced the day before that in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico would be recalled for repairs about 260,000 copies of Ram 2015-2020 pickup trucks.
The reason for such a decision for the company became a possible defect in the airbag.
The service campaign will affect the Ram 2500, Ram 3500, and Ram Classic 1500 pickups. At the same time, the current generation Ram 1500 (2019 model year) will not go to the service.
The recalled vehicles could have gotten moisture in the airbag squib during their production, causing the airbag to deploy at any time unrelated to the accident.
Right now, only one incident has been reported that is related to this defect.
