Hyundai Azera Returned Because of Occupant Detection Failure

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has informed about the return of 5,200 Hyundai Azera models because of problems with the occupant detection system.

In the front seat of the model, the occupant detection system may wrongly recognize the passenger, meaning that in a accident the airbag may deploy with higher or lower force than suitable. Just 2012 and 2013 model years Azeras are needed to be repaired.

Hyundai will inform drivers, and dealers will fix the vehicle’s airbag system for free. Drivers should reach Hyundai at 1-734-337-9499.
