EV Competitor to Porsche Panamera Will Come from the East

Despite the loss of the company’s president, Infiniti is still full of enthusiasm to carry out his ideas.

With the official approval of the extension the luxury brand decided to go electric once again, this time to rival Porsche Panamera.

Approximate release years of the planned vehicle are 2017 – 2018. Niche place is already chosen to surpass Q70. The future coupe will get in touch with German auto industry in one more way, as it is very possible that this four-door coupe will use the rear 2WD granted by Mercedes-Benz. Preliminary powertrain is a six-cylinder turbo with more than 600 hp of output.

Something of a kind was promised by the Japanese marque this year, but then the company decided to include next-gen powerful batteries to the engine department. Now the excitement element will be dictated predominantly by the design alterations.

Boosted Q50 might also join the line-up soon, although with smaller output than the abovementioned EV. Yet, it will be presented earlier and already intrigues with limited edition.

Q70 and QX80 are also not forgotten by the automaker and will be modified next year.
