Longer Wheelbase and Revised Design for the 2016 Infiniti QX50

Infiniti has presented the 2016 QX50 at the Auto Show in New York.

The vehicle looks virtually the same as the Chinese-spec version. The facelifted offering has new daytime running lights from LED, a revised radiator enclosure and modified bumpers. The crossover is also equipped with 18-inch wheels and restyled mirrors. Its ride height has been increased.

The wheelbase was the one to fall under the most serious change. It grew from 110.2 inches to 113.4 inches. In such a way, the vehicle benefits from rear legroom and knee room since they grew by 4.3 inches and 3.9 inches respectively.

The interior remains practically the same, but it gets additional regular equipment, such as moonroof and heated front seats. A new Premium Plus Package is available for the car. It adds front/rear parking sensors, an Around View Monitor and GPS navigation.

The car is equipped with a 3.7-litre six-cylinder engine generating 325 hp (or 242 kW) and torque of 267 lb-ft (or 361 Nm). The power is sent through a 7-speed automatic gearbox which can be joined to an optional four-wheel drive system.
