Jeep Wrangler Polar Version will be Available Next Month

Jeep is preparing to unleash a fresh winter-themed Wrangler, the special Polar Edition. This car made its formal debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show last month.

This go-anywhere utility includes a lot of functional and styling enhancements; it targets customers who want a rugged but exceptional rock-crawler. One such design flourish are Polar nameplates that adorn the car’s sides. They’re emblazoned with 77° S, 105° E. That coordinates correspond to the Vostok Station on Antarctica. What is the purpose, you say? Well, it’s where the lowest temperature ever recorded on earth was made. If you’re curious it’s -128.56 degrees Fahrenheit (that’s -89.2 Celcius). Pretty interesting, don’t you think?

Talking about the vehicle, the Polar Edition Wrangler includes 18-inch gloss-black wheels and a body-color hardtop. It also has a powerdome hood emblazoned with a 3-color decal presenting stylized mountains. Moreover, it’s available with either 2- and 4-doors.

Inside it’s received heated leather seats dressed up with white accent stitching. High-gloss trim adorns the dashboard and door panels providing an icy “cool” look.

Like other Jeep Wranglers the Polar Edition is enhanced by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 motor. It churns out 284 horsepower with 261 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is regular while a 5-speed automatic is optional. This car is going to land at showrooms next month.
