2014 Mitsubishi Mirage Priced At $13,720

Official cost for the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage has been uncovered, with the base DE model beginning from $13,720 featuring a $725 destination fee.

That initial price nabs you a manual transmission-fitted Mirage, enhanced by the company’s 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder motor with 74 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. While the 5-door sub-compact model isn’t exactly known for its performance, the Mirage does boast the title of having the best fuel-economy, non-hybrid gasoline-enhanced model available in America. It has an EPA rated fuel efficiency of 44 mpg on the highway when fitted with the CVT transmission. Speaking of CVT transmissions, you’ll have to add $1,000 to each car’s pricing in order to get your hands on the fuel-saving technology.

Talking about the higher-end Mirage ES model, customers will receive all the regular details of the DE model with the addition of Free-hand Advanced Security Transmitter (FAST) key passive entry, One-Touch Start/Stop motor switch, Bluetooth, steering-wheel mounted cruise and stereo controls, 14-inch wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, fog lights, silver interior accent trim, and other details. Cost for the ES vehicle begins at $14,920 for the 5-speed manual, with the CVT costing additional $1,000.

At the very top of the Mirage’s lineup is an ES vehicle with the CVT transmission and Navigation Package, which begins at $16,820. The Navigation System also provides a rear-view camera option to the sub compact.

Destination fee is $195 extra for Alaska and Hawaii.
