Skoda Fabia R5 Teaser before its Disclosing on November 29

Skoda has set a teaser video for the forthcoming Fabia R5 which is going to be disclosed on November 29.

The Fabia S2000 is phased out and Skoda’s motorsport business division is fixing on the R5 variant currently. The R5 is based on the Fabia supermini of the third generation which was presented not long ago. Technical information on the rally vehicle was not disclosed for now, though a camouflaged variant is shown in the clip. It is equipped with a larger body along with a roof scoop, rally oriented wheels, enhanced suspension and a central exhaust pipes.

The Fabia rally offering is based on FIA’s R5 regulations. The model will gain a 1.6-litre turbocharged gasoline V4 along with an all-wheel drive. The other condition is a minimum poise of 1,230 kg (or 2,711 lbs). There are chances that the Fabia R5 will also gain a sequential transmission.

It will be known for sure on the disclosing day when the model will be presented at the Motor Show in Essen before presentation of the 2015 in the WRC-2 series.
