Chrysler is going to Recall 900,000 Models Because of the Risk of Catching on Fire

Chrysler recalls more than 900,000 models around the globe because of defaults which can lead to fires.

Cars of the 2011-2014 offering year have Pentastar 3.6-liter six-cylinder powertrain which company widely uses and a 160 amp alternator which together state 470,000 of the risky vehicles since the alternator can unexpectedly brake. This situation theoretically can cause powertrain fading or even a fire.

The automaker is finding a way to solve the problem affecting Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger, Jeep Cherokee SUVs, Chrysler 300 sedan and Dodge Durango. 434,581 offerings will be recalled in the United States. Chrysler stated that it is going to inform their customers about the campaign on November 28.

The automaker announced about recalling 437,000 Jeep Wranglers of the 2011-2014 around the globe. They were also confirmed to be in the risk zone for catching on fire. Water leaking into the power driving mirrors on the models can lead to an electrical short.

Chrysler is believed to begin its campaign on December 5 after the automaker instructs technicians at the dealer services. They will be told to add water shields for better protection. They will also have to move the power driving mirror feed to autonomous connectors.

313,236 of the SUVs offerings are in America, 5,685 among Mexico, 39,627 in Canada, and 78,369 outside of North America were announced to be recalled by Chrysler.
