Yema T70 Produces a Mashup of a Land Rover, Grand Cherokee and Touareg in China

Chinese company Sichuan Yema decided to launch the T70 having design cues from three different offerings.

The Chengdu-based producer has shown off the Lamborghini Urus design along with an innovated SUV based on an archaic platform of Austin Rover Maestro. The producer is ready to show a new variant which has similar appearance to the Volkswagen Touareg, is having a Land Rover front radiator enclosure and taillamps reminding of the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s. Inside the cabin the customers will find the infotainment system sending a strong VAG vibe.

As to the technical specifications, the model is equipped with a special 1.8-litre V4 powertrain generating 131 hp (or 98 kW) and torque of 170 Nm (or 125 lb-ft). The power is sent to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The same powertrain can be obtained with 158 hp (or 118 kW) and torque of 215 Nm (or 158 lb-ft). It is joined to a six-speed CVT gear box. The body weights 1,565 kg. Manual variant weighs 1,515 kg.

The Yema T70 is 4555 mm in lengths, 1715 mm tall and 1835 mm wide. The vehicle rides on 17-inch wheels with 225/65 R17 tyres. The car is equipped with an independent front and back suspension. It has got a MacPherson front and a multi-link back arrangement. Moreover, there are disc brakes on all wheels and a hydraulic steering.
